Description
The Aeschynanthus, or Lipstick plant, originates from South-East Asia. We consider it as one of the most beautiful hanging plants. Just like its name suggests, it has a red top flower and a green uniform base of leaves.
Its name, Aeschynanthus, means flower of shame because of its shyness to grow, as it takes a long time to flower. However, once they do emerge, they are one of the prettiest flowers out there. Talk about the reward of patience being flower rather than fruit!
The Lipstick plant won't take up much of your attention or care. It just needs enough indirect sunlight, but it has to be watered regularly as it requires a lot of water.
