Helleborus Niger Christmas Carol

The Helleborus Christmas Carol is an evergreen plant that flowers during the colder months. With its fresh white blooms, it brings life and colour to the garden when most plants are resting. Perfect if you want to enjoy flowers even in winter.
Helleborus originates from Europe and Asia. In the wild, it grows at the edges of forests and in mountainous areas. The Christmas Carol variety has been specially bred for early flowering and compact growth.
It does well in partial shade to full shade. In winter, full sun is no problem, but in summer it’s better to give it a bit more shelter.
Water regularly, especially during dry periods. The soil should stay slightly moist but never soggy. Good drainage is key to avoid root rot.
As an outdoor plant, Helleborus doesn’t need special humidity. Indoors, make sure it’s not too close to dry heating sources.
The Helleborus Christmas Carol can start flowering as early as December and continue into March. Even in frost, the flowers stay upright. It’s one of the few plants that blooms right in the middle of winter.
This plant is fully winter hardy. Even in freezing temperatures, its leaves stay green and flowers may still appear. Ideal for outdoor pots or garden beds.
This plant is toxic. Avoid contact with the sap and consider wearing gloves when repotting or pruning.
The Helleborus Christmas Carol brings charm to your garden in winter, combining elegant flowers with impressive hardiness.
