The Hydrangea is a true showstopper with its lush, full flower heads that burst into colour throughout the blooming season. Whether in a pot on your balcony or as a garden centrepiece, this plant brings a touch of elegance to any outdoor space.
Originally from Asia and the Americas, the Hydrangea thrives in diverse climates and has become a garden favourite worldwide. Its ability to adapt to different soil types and its spectacular blooms make it a must-have for plant lovers.
Prefers a semi-shaded to sunny spot. Avoid harsh midday sun, especially in warmer months.
Loves moist soil, so water regularly, especially in dry periods. However, make sure the soil is well-draining to prevent root rot.
Some varieties require light pruning to maintain their shape, while others bloom on old wood and need minimal cutting.
Did you know that the flower colour of certain Hydrangea varieties can change depending on soil pH? Acidic soil gives blue tones, while alkaline soil creates pink hues.
Most Hydrangeas are hardy but may need some protection in extreme cold.
Keep in mind that Hydrangeas are toxic to pets if ingested.
With their stunning blooms and easy maintenance, Hydrangeas are the perfect way to add a splash of colour and charm to your outdoor space!
