Description

Rhipsalis is a unique trailing plant with soft, string-like stems that spill elegantly over the edge of pots or hanging baskets. Even though it’s part of the cactus family, it actually prefers shade – and it’s super easy to care for!

Origin

Rhipsalis comes from the tropical rainforests of Central and South America, Africa and Asia. In the wild, it grows as an epiphyte on tree branches in humid, filtered light conditions.

Care

Light

Thrives in partial shade or soft, filtered light. Avoid harsh sun – it can damage or discolour the stems.

Water

Let the top layer of soil dry out before watering again. It's better to underwater than overwater – Rhipsalis is prone to root rot.

Humidity

Average humidity is fine, but higher humidity helps it thrive. You can mist it occasionally, especially in drier rooms.

Toxic?

Rhipsalis is non-toxic and safe for pets and kids – a great low-risk choice for your indoor jungle.

With its soft texture, relaxed growth and pet-friendly nature, Rhipsalis fits perfectly into any home – even those shadier corners!
