Care
Description
The Beaucarnea is popularly known as the Elephant's foot. The plant has earned this nickname due to the shape of the trunk. Another nickname for the Beaucarnea is the Ponytail plant, which describes its frizzy crown of leaves that tops the plant.
In Mexico, the Beaucarnea is found growing on rock faces and mountains. The remarkable thing about this plant is that its stem's insides are very similar to a sponge. It absorbs moisture and water efficiently and keeps it stored for a very long time.
Watering regularly doesn't matter that much. The Beaucarnea lives without water just fine!
