Botanical name
Cycas Revoluta
Toxic to pets
Yes
The Cycas revoluta has many nicknames, all referring to the plant's appearance. The plant is therefore known by such names as Sago palm and Japanese palm. It is therefore native to southern Japan.
Despite being a palm, the Cycas palm prefers to grow in a place with a lot of shade. Indirect sunlight to semi-shade is therefore best. Avoid direct sunlight at all times.
As the Cycas revoluta prefers to grow in the shade, they also consume very little water. In winter, they can even manage without water for 4 to 6 weeks!
