Description
The Pilea is mainly known by the nickname "the Chinese money plant,” which sums up a lot about the plant. It originates from China and has large, flat, and round coin-shaped leaves.
Being one of the more unknown discovered plant types, The Pilea was found in the south of China in only the last century. There, it grows at an altitude of about 2,000 meters.
The best part about the Pilea is its shiny, leathery leaves and the fact that it makes a lot of shoots. The shoots are useful if you want to learn how to propagate plants.
